Wire sleeves come in many configurations

The FIT wire sleeving products are available a variety of rugged configurations that suit military, industrial, and other potentially hazardous applications. Configurations include a lightweight 8-mil polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) monofilament sleeving and a 20-mil nylon polyamide monofilament sleeving, both expandable to 150%, for resistance against flame, acid, base, fuel and other solvents.

Other available options include a 16-mil PTFE filament low-outgassing sleeving that resists virtually all chemicals and UV rays. The sleeves have a temperature range of –70° to 280°C and an abrasion-resistant non-expandable sleeving made of 45-mil tightly woven thick nylon to deflect high-pressure hose ruptures and resist contamination.
