SCHURTER (Santa Rosa, CA) equips its FPG7 shock-safe SMD fuseholder with two stabilizing posts. The added posts extend from the existing front standoffs, providing increased stability during board assembly, and when replacing the panel accessible fuse. The FPG7 is said to offer the only shock-safe SMD fuseholder for 5x20 mm fuses on the market. The mounting posts improve the design, by optimizing the stability of the fuseholder during the mounting and soldering process of the PCB. Further, the mounting posts help absorb the axial forces that arise when the fuse is being replaced. With rated power consumption of up to 2.5 W at 10 A / 250 VAC according to IEC, combined with rated current of up to 16 A at 400 VAC according to UL/CSA, the FPG7 is appropriate for applications requiring primary protection, such as:
- Industrial equipment.
- Medical equipment.
- Household appliances.
